Oh my gosh. YOU GUYS! The response to the newest pattern- World Angels Christmas Ornaments has been off-the-charts amazing!!
My heart is so full. The inspiration for these ornaments is something that has been on all of our minds lately- DIVERSITY. With everything going on in the world today, I just had the overwhelming urge to create a pattern that was utterly inclusive.
The idea is that you can customize the skin tone, hair do, and clothing of each angel ornament to reflect your personal heritage, or that of someone you care about.
Here is the one I made for my daughter Olivia, who is half Argentine (her dad is from there and she was born there) and Irish/American (my side.)
Of course, the combinations are absolutely endless. The pattern comes with simple embroidery diagrams for the very basic stitches you will need to create the face and almost any hairdo under the sun.
Still plenty of time to make these. You get your PDF pattern just seconds after checkout! These whip up in an evening- even faster if you make them assembly line style!
Get yours today :) And please send pics! How cool would it be to have a whole gallery of gloriously different angel versions!
Blessings and happy sewing,
xoxoxo Julie
PS: Update! Check out the angels made by Sylvi Sealy, owner of www.sewcolorful.com! By the way, she sells an amazing selection of Kaffe Fassett fabrics in her shop- our favorite!!
